Certificates for owners and manufacturers
The two certificates we issue, who they are for and how to check them.
Serial Passport issues certificates to both sides of a battery: the people who own and use it, and the companies that make and sell it.
For battery owners: certificate of proof
Every battery with a passport has its own certificate of proof on its passport page. It shows that the page is the official record for that battery, with its identity, origin and history. Owners can print it or save it as a PDF for an insurer, a buyer, customs or a repair shop.
For manufacturers: certificate of registration
Every company that issues passports with us gets a certificate of registration in the dashboard, under Manufacturer kit. It confirms that the company is a registered passport issuer with Serial Passport and shows its operator ID. It comes with a "Battery passport ready" badge for websites and webshops.
